As-Salaam alaykum,
'Ayn al-Qudat Hamadani (d. 1131), a mystic, philosopher, theologian and judge was born in the Iranian city of Hamadan. For him, the Holy Qur'an is the word of Allah which penetrates the plane of time and space, and hence accounts for all of reality. He also likens the Qur'an to a rope; in keeping with a well-known hadith which states that the Qur'an is a rope which extends from heaven to earth. This rope allows the one who grasps it to be pulled into the very presence of Allah Ta'ala.

'Ayn al-Qudat gave us a creative play on the Persian word bas, meaning "enough". If we combine the first letter of the Qur'an, ie the ba of the basmala (1:1) with the final letter of the Qur'an, ie the sin in nas (114:6), we get the word bas. Thus what is between the ba and the sin, namely, the entire Qur'an, is "enough" (bas) for the one seeking Allah.

Since the Qur'an is enough for the believer, it explains all things, and indeed contains all things-- "NOR IS THERE ANYTHING MOIST OR DRY, BUT THAT IT IS IN A CLEAR BOOK" (6:59)..
