1. Rake your hair by running your fingers from top to the end every morning.

2. Brush hair when it’s dry. Brush the underside of your hair by bending forward allowing your hair to fall. Then with large brush with even strokes. And increase the number of strokes daily.

3. Never pull or yank hair. When combing it separate hair into small sections and carefully comb it from the end in downward direction.

4. It's best to air dry the hair. But if you have to blow dry them use a cool setting.

5. If you want to curl your hair. Use regular hair rollers, winding hair loosely around them. Avoid electric rollers, hot combs and curling irons or use on cool setting.

6. When shampooing hair. Make sure that your shampoo has natural ingredients with conditioning properties. Massage your scalp to increase blood flow.

7. Make sure that you use conditioner. It minimize tangling of hair. There's also detangle spray available in the store.

8. Protect hair from over-exposure to sun, salt or chlorinated water, wind and pollution. Wear a hat, cap or scarf if you can. Seek out hair products with sunscreens.

9. To keep cool and look stylish, sweep hair upward. Use natural materials like tortoise shell combs, clips and fasteners instead of rubber bands, plastic and metal which snag and pull hair. Try to avoid all products containing alcohol as it dries hair.
