News Circuit bench stays additional fuel charges

HYDERABAD: On the constitutional petition of the ice factories, Sindh High Court (SHC) Hyderabad circuit bench has stayed payment of additional fuel adjustment charges in the electricity bills.

A divisional bench of the SHC also issued notices on Wednesday to chairman National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), CEO of Hyderabad Electric Supply Compnay (HESCO), Manager Commercial of HESCO and other officers for December 15.

As many as 47 ice factories had filed the petition through advocate Irfan Ahmed Qureshi.

The petitioners maintained that SHC Sukkur and Lahore High Court had also stayed payment of the charges in the electricity bills.
