KARACHI: After the announcement from Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), CNG stations in Sindh were closed for 24 hours from 9:00 am today till 9:00 am Saturday, Geo News reported.
Commuters faced extreme difficulty in getting their vehicles filled due to long queues at the gas stations and expressed anger over the situation.
In view of the continuing gas shortage due to increased winter load and in accordance with the recent ECC decision, it was decided to shut down gas to the CNG stations in Karachi for 24 hours from 9 am today, December 23 to 9 am on Saturday, December 24, 2011.
The decision to discontinue gas to the CNG stations on a periodic basis follows an extraordinarily low pressure situation that has badly affected overall gas supply in Sindh.
