News Contempt case against Babar Awan adjourned till Feb 20

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) adjourned the hearing of Babar Awan's contempt of court case till February 20, Geo News reported Thursday.

The PPP leader said his lawyer is out of country and due to his engagements in the Senate elections, the proceedings be adjourned.

The SC had adjourned the hearing of Babar Awan's contempt of court notice till February 09 as the PPP leader did not appear before the court on Feb 02.

For addressing the controversial press conference, the court had also issued contempt notices to Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Khursheed Shah, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Information Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan and Adviser to Prime Minister Farooq Awan.
