ISLAMABAD: Attorney General of Pakistan (AGP) Maulvi Anwarul Haq said he did not appear before the court in the memogate case on behalf of the government, Geo News reported.

According to a statement issued by his office, the AGP attended the hearing on the court's notice and assisted the bench.

On Thursday the Supreme Court approved petitions relating to memogate for hearing.

The apex court also barred former ambassador Husain Haqqani from leaving the country and stated that respondents in the petitions which included the president and COAS had fifteen days to reply.
