SUKKUR: PTI chief Imran Khan said the nation would stand by the Supreme Court if the government decides to take on the court.

He was talking to journalists at the Sukkur airport.

Government refused to comply with the SC orders in order to protect the corruption of Asif Ali Zardari, PTI chief said.

'The whole nation is with the SC. The Constitution, not Parliament, is sovereign and no one will accept martial law. '

PTI chief asked PML-N to resign from the Punjab and National assemblies to show they are serious about democracy.

Commenting on a question about plans for any election alliance he said our priority right now is to defend the SC.

The PTI chairman further said that the constitution and not parliament was supreme.
