KARACHI: Karachi police on Tuesday claimed to have detained five activists of banned outfit Jundullah, Geo News reported.
Addressing a press conference, Additional Inspector General (IG) Karachi, Ghulam Shabir Shaikh said Special Investigation Unit (SIU) arrested five outlaws and thwarted a terror bids in the metropolis during Muharram-ul-Haram.
He said these accused arrived in Karachi from Waziristan and interior Punjab and had plans of terrorism during Muharram.
The accused are identified as Syed Kamran alias Waqar alias Bilal, Salar Muhammad alias Khalid alias Danish, Amjad Khan alias Kargil alias Shahji, Farhan Khan alias Hussain and Muhammad Munir alias Azeem.
