Real Madrid Star Cristiano Ronaldo 'would Listen' To £80m Man Utd Offer - Mike Phelan

Ronaldo enjoyed six successful years at Old Trafford from 2003 to 2009 before his £80m move to Real Madrid.

The Portuguese won three Premier League titles, the Champions League, two League Cups and the FA Cup among other trophies during his stay.

He has since been linked with a shock return to the Premier League heavyweights, with recent reports of an £80m move for his services next summer.

And Phelan, who worked under Sir Alex Ferguson at the Red Devils for five years, believes Ronaldo would always have to consider a return if an offer was on the table.

However, the 52-year-old coach goes on to claim Ronaldo wouldn't be interested in leaving Real any time soon.



"Ronaldo loved his time at Manchester United and, if Manchester United were interested in him again, then he would listen to that because part of his career has come through Man United," he said

"But listen, he is where he is because of him being Ronaldo and, at the moment, Madrid are successful so I can't see why he would think about coming back to Manchester United now."
