Rio de Janeiro is the capital city and the second largest city in Brazil. It is recognized as Rio and also it called “The City of Gods”. It is the third largest civic area and accumulation is South America. In this city there are roughly 6.3 million people. This is the city with World’s 26th highest population. It is perfect tourist destination. Each year millions and millions of tourists visit here.
It’s a perfect place for all. We can get delicious foods. If we get bore, we can go out and take part in a game. Or we can go for sight-seeing. There are much more to do than we think. And the sweetest thing is, we can get nice and friendly people there. Making new friends make our mind fresh.
It is famous for the following ways.
• The statue of Christ Redeemer overlooking the city
It is located at the Peak of Corcovado Mountain in Tijuca Forest National park which is 700 meters tall. It is a statue of Jesus of Nazareth in Rio de Janeiro. It is considered as the largest Art-Deco statue in all over the world and also it is the 5th largest statue in the world. It has 39.6 meters in its height containing its pedestal which has a height of 9.5 meters. It considers about 635 tonnes. It is constructed within 9 years and they used concrete and soap stone to made this statue which is now an emblem of Brazilian Christianity.
• Carnaval Carioca
It is the most famous carnival in Rio de Jainero. It is famous within the world too. Every day thousands of people come out of streets just to take part in or to see the events and entertainments in Carnaval Carioca.
• Ipanema Beach and Copacabana beach
These are the most famous 2 beach of Rio de Janeiro which are well known tourist destinations. Copacabana Beach is located in the city borders of Rio de Janeiro. It has total 4 kilometres in its length. It is a very enormous and enjoyable beach especially for honeymooners. Ipanema Beach is located in the southern region of Rio de Janeiro. The word Ipanema means “stinky lake”.
