KARACHI: The Sindh government has requested the transfer of alleged Al-Qaeda member Major Haroon from Punjab.
Haroon is accused of being involved in the kidnapping of businessman Satish Anand.
According to Sindh Home Ministry sources, a letter has been written to the Punjab Home Ministry for the transfer of Haroon.
Haroon is facing several high-profile cases against him in Punjab.
During his briefing in the Sindh Assembly regarding the murder probe of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, Interior Minister Rehman Malik had confirmed Haroon’s contacts with Al-Qaeda.
