India will be touring NZ in March-April to play one T20I, 5 ODIs (50-overs a side give or take 20-30 overs a match given rain disruptions) and just 2 test matches. I find this another ludicrous itinerary prepared by a money-mad BCCI that has absolutely no consideration for the real good of Indian cricket. Some are foolishly referring to NZ as India's "final frontier" for test victories given our recent lack of series victories there. This is another absurdity; we won our first-ever test and series victory overseas in NZ (with Prasanna to the fore) in 1967-68 (winning 3-1), Pras again won us the Auckland test on the next NZ tour (in 1976) and NZ is the one test-playing nation (apart from recent entrants Zim and Bang) with whom we have always had a positive win-loss record. If it is indeed some sort of final frontier for our test side, a 2-test series is hardly the ideal way to even attempt to conquer such a frontier.
