Automobili Lamborghini increases its model range with the new Gallardo Superleggera, a distinctively lighter version of the already ultra-high performance 2-seat, mid-engined Gallardo supercar. Thanks to the use of particularly light materials like carbon fiber, engineers succeeded in reducing the already low weight by almost 200 pounds. In addition, the Superleggera’s engine output was further increased to 530 horsepower, reducing 0 to 60 mph acceleration to 3.8 seconds. The Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera comes with robotized mechanical e-gear as standard.
