My Thoughts

I feel the cool wind blow across my face
All the while dreaming myself to another place
Wrapped softly inside your arms
Knowing you would protect me from all harm
I inhale deeply to try and catch your scent
These thoughts of you cause such sweet torment
Taking a walk with you in the rain
Hand in hand, your touch still remains
Searching your eyes for that glimpse of peace
My heartbeat slowly begins to increase
On the corners of your mouth there plays a smile
To see it in reality would be worth every mile
I sigh deeply and return to where I did start
But keeping these thoughts of you very close to my heart
